Biography

Linda is the founder and CEO of Materials Ventures, a startup advancing battery cell and critical minerals projects by providing services in supply network design, implementation and oversight. Most recently, she served as the Vice President of Consumer Accounts at Sila Nanotechnologies, a next-generation battery materials company dedicated to accelerating the world’s transition to clean energy. Earlier at Sila, Linda served as the Vice President of the company’s Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain Operations. Before joining Sila, Linda spent 15 years in leadership roles in the semiconductor capital equipment industry at Applied Materials, UBS Securities, and Montgomery Asset Management. Her professional journey began as a mechanical engineer at Hitachi’s Mechanical Engineering Research Laboratory in Japan and at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Linda holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a master’s of arts degree in Japanese Studies from Harvard University.

In October 2025, Linda was appointed as a Senior Scientific Advisor to NEO Battery Materials Ltd. (TSXV: NBM) (OTC: NBMFF), a Canadian battery technology company focused on developing and producing silicon-enhanced lithium-ion batteries. She serves as an Executive in Residence and sits on the Board of Advisors at the University of Oregon Lundquist College of Business, is a member of the Engineering Leadership Council at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and is an Industry Council member of the Project Production Institute. In 2021, she was named as one of the 100 most influential women in supply chain by Global Women Supply Chain Leaders.
