Frederic Hauge is widely regarded as one of the architects of the Norwegian electric vehicle revolution, he was the owner of the first EV imported to Norway in 1988. He initiated a partnership between Bellona and Tesla in 2008 and he was chosen by Tesla Motors to receive the first Tesla Model S delivered to Europe in 2013.This cooperation was crucial for Tesla’s early breakthrough in Norway. Hauge has also done considerable work on electrification on maritime sector in Norway. Because of Norway’s highly electrified transport sector, there’s a high demand for sustainable batteries. Norwegian standards often set the agenda internationally.
